Location:
Premna bonsai can be kept both indoors and outdoors. It thrives in warm and humid climates with good sunlight. When kept indoors, place the bonsai where it receives a few hours of direct natural sunlight every day. Since bonsai pots contain limited soil, it is advisable to keep the plant in partial shade during hot summer months to prevent stress.

Watering:
Premna prefers consistently moist soil. As the plant develops many fibrous roots, it should be watered before the soil dries completely. The watering frequency may vary depending on the weather, location, and sunlight exposure.

Fertilizing:
For healthy growth, feed the bonsai with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer such as NPK 20-20-20 twice a month during the growing season.

Pruning:
Premna is a fast-growing species when properly nourished. Regular trimming helps maintain the compact shape and artistic structure of the bonsai. Prune excess branches and larger leaves periodically to enhance its refined appearance.

Repotting:
Repotting is recommended once a year using a well-draining soil mixture made of sand, soil, lava granules, coco husk, and bio compost. A well-aerated soil mix helps prevent root diseases and keeps the bonsai healthy.
